Monday night detectives arrested a second suspect in the beating and robbery of Oakland Raiders WR Javon Walker. Deshawn Thomas faces charges of kidnap, robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery with substantial bodily harm. Walker was found beaten and unconscious near Winnick Avenue and Koval Lane on June 16. Police investigated and found Walker had been robbed. Another suspect has already been arrested and has a hearing scheduled.

Agent Chad Speck said via e-mail that he expects to talk with the Tennessee Titans again this week as the July 15 deadline approaches regarding a decision on Albert Haynesworth's situation. Haynesworth, given the franchise tag back in February, has one week left to sign a long-term contract or play for the franchise tender of $7.25 million. Speck is trying to get the Titans to include certain incentives in the tender that under the right situation could allow Haynesworth to avoid the franchise tag again in 2009. "[There's] nothing new right now, but I anticipate we [will] talk this week," Speck said.

Marshall, stopped on northbound Interstate-25, was also ticketed for not having his driver's license or proof of insurance, according to the court document. Marshall is scheduled to be arraigned on July 24, according to the records.

Free Agent DL Scott Pleads Guilty To Child Endangerment

Free agent defensive lineman Darrion Scott pleaded guilty on Monday to a child endangerment charge for placing a plastic bag over the head of his two-year old son.
