Dolphins | Jaylen Waddle to man the slot? Sun Jun 13, 09:07 PM
Miami Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle will likely play out of the slot with WR DeVante Parker and WR Will Fuller working as the starting outside receivers, according to Grant Gordon of NFL.com.Link to story
Cowboys | QB endorses Ezekiel Elliott Sun Jun 13, 08:58 PM
Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott is in 'the best shape of his life,' according to QB Dak Prescott. 'When Zeke's healthy and Zeke's doing his thing, he's the best running back in the league,' Prescott said. 'It's just exciting to see him in the best shape of his life, or best shape he's been in the NFL. That's going to be special for us moving forward.'Link to story

Jets | Zach Wilson prepping to start Sun Jun 13, 08:43 PM
New York Jets QB Zach Wilson took all the first-team reps during OTAs, and the Jets are in 'Get-Wilson-ready-to-start' mode, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN.com.Link to story
Chargers | Mike Williams in a good spot? Sun Jun 13, 08:25 PM
Los Angeles Chargers WR Mike Williams will be playing the X position in offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi's system. 'As much as this offense will resemble New Orleans, he plays the 'X' and the ball has always kind of found the 'X' receiver in this offense,' Lombardi said of Williams. 'I think that there will be some natural production that comes his way because of the nature of the offense.'Link to story

Dolphins | Jerome Baker agrees to extension Sun Jun 13, 02:48 PM
Miami Dolphins LB Jerome Baker agreed to terms on a three-year contract extension with the Dolphins Sunday, June 13, worth $39 million. The deal includes $28.4 million in guaranteed money.
|Footballguys view: This is a very optimistic contract for an offball linebacker, but he is only 24 and came alive as a pass rusher last year with seven sacks. He'll continue to be a frontline starter at linebacker in IDP leagues.|

Jets | Ashtyn Davis misses workouts Sun Jun 13, 02:27 PM
New York Jets S Ashtyn Davis (foot) did not participate in offseason workouts because of a foot injury.
|Footballguys view: The signing of Lamarcus Joyner probably took Davis out of starting consideration anyway, but with a new coaching regime in town, he can use all of the reps he can get. He's still just a long term stash in deep IDP dynasty leagues, but Davis' ceiling is very high.|
Jets | Jamison Crowder expected at minicamp Sun Jun 13, 02:26 PM
New York Jets WR Jamison Crowder is expected to attend the mandatory minicamp this week even though he skipped some offseason workouts because of a contract situation.
|Footballguys view: If Crowder skips this, it's a good sign that the relationship is over, or that Crowder wants it to be over. Don't let Crowder's presence on the roster deter you from taking Elijah Moore in redraft leagues, it's probably temporary.|

Patriots | Cam Newton make take part in minicamp Sun Jun 13, 12:11 PM
New England Patriots QB Cam Newton (hand) made some throws during practice Friday, June 11, and may participate in the mandatory minicamp this week.
|Footballguys view: It doesn't sound like his hand injury is more than a typical bump/bruise. The more we hear out of the New England, the more we believe Newton will play most if not all of the season.|

Jets | Details of proposed pay cut for Jamison Crowder revealed Sun Jun 13, 11:46 AM
Updating a previous report, the New York Jets reportedly want WR Jamison Crowder to take at least a 50% pay cut on his non-guaranteed $10 million salary, meaning that the club wants to give him a maximum of $5 million, according to ESPN New York's Rich Cimini. Crowder skipped voluntary OTAs because of the contract disagreement but head coach Robert Saleh expects him to appear at this week's mandatory minicamp.
|Footballguys view: Crowder might not get five million on the open market, so if that's all the pay cut would entail, he would be smart to accept it unless he's worried about being marginalized by sensational rookie Elijah Moore. Cimini also raises the possibility of Crowder getting traded even if he does accept the pay cut. Elijah Moore's time is coming sooner than later.|

NFL | Malik Hooker hopes to visit other teams Sun Jun 13, 11:32 AM
Free-agent S Malik Hooker (Colts) said during an interview with Sirius XM NFL Radio that he wants to visit more NFL teams before training camps open in July. He has already visited the Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason.
|Footballguys view: Hooker was once a highly sought after safety, enough so that he went at the 15th pick of the 2017 draft. He can play single high and give a defense more freedom to blitz and load the box against the run, but hasn't been able to stay healthy.|

Chargers | Kenneth Murray positioned to shine Sat Jun 12, 09:25 PM
Los Angeles Chargers LB Kenneth Murray said he was never comfortable with the defensive scheme in 2020 but feels head coach Brandon Staley's defense plays to his strengths. 'The big emphasis from him was getting me to play more downhill,' Murray said. 'That's what I'm really excited about: playing downhill, blitzing a lot more and being aggressive.'
|Footballguys view: The Chargers defense doesn't lack talent and ability, but it is possible that some of the players weren't used to their fullest of their potential. You wonder if the people responsible for drafting Murray watched him play at Oklahoma. This is good news for his IDP value and the direction of the Chargers defense.|
Football Team | Logan Thomas exited about WRs Sat Jun 12, 09:06 PM
Washington Football Team TE Logan Thomas believes the additions of WR Curtis Samuel and WR Dyami Brown will open up more opportunities for him to make big plays. 'With the guys we have on the outside, maybe there's more space on the inside to make plays down the field,' Thomas said.
|Footballguys view: Thomas finished 2020 with the best football of his career and his arrow is pointing up even though the Football Team added Brown and Samuel this offseason. Ryan Fitzpatrick should make this pass offense a lot more viable for fantasy football by putting the vertical pass in play, benefiting Thomas among others.|

NFL | Richard Sherman looking for contender Sat Jun 12, 07:09 PM
Free-agent CB Richard Sherman (49ers) said he wants to sign with a Super Bowl contender and is waiting for the right opportunity.
|Footballguys view: The Bills, Steelers, Chiefs, Saints, Cowboys, 49ers, and Seahawks all have cornerback needs of differing levels and could be considered Super Bowl contenders.|

Packers | Davante Adams to report on time Sat Jun 12, 06:30 PM
Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams said he plans to report to training camp on time even if he does not receive a contract extension before the start of camp.
|Footballguys view: Adams second round ADP reflects the uncertainty around the Packers offense. He's worth a pick in the first round as the first wide receiver off of the board if Aaron Rodgers is the Packers quarterback, but he's probably not even worth the second round pick you have to spend on him right now if Rodgers doesn't play for the Packers this year.|

Chiefs | Le'Veon Bell not interested in return Sat Jun 12, 06:22 PM
Free-agent RB Le'Veon Bell (Chiefs) said he is not interested in playing for Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid again.
|Footballguys view: We don't know exactly what made this relationship sour, but if Bell can't fit in on an Andy Reid team, then he might not find a place that interests him this year. He doesn't have a pulse in fantasy circles at this point.|
Le'Veon Bell player page
Jaguars | Laviska Shenault performs well at workouts Sat Jun 12, 05:40 PM
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Laviska Shenault Jr. showed improved route running skills during offseason workouts and was able to catch all his targets during the workouts open to the media.
|Footballguys view: Shenault was one of the most physically gifted receivers in the prodigious class of 2020, but he didn't make as much of a fantasy impact as some of his peers. He has created as much buzz as any second year player this month. A new offense and momentum going into the summer will help his case to be the best value among Jaguars receivers as he's going 2-3 rounds after DJ Chark.|
Football Team | Several sit out minicamp Sat Jun 12, 04:55 PM

Football Team | Curtis Samuel misses minicamp Sat Jun 12, 04:53 PM
Washington Football Team WR Curtis Samuel (groin) did not participate in the team's minicamp this week because of a groin injury. Head coach Ron Rivera said Samuel should be ready for training camp.
|Footballguys view: Like all offseason injuries, we'll monitor this going into camp and in the preseason because an aggravation or slow recovery could be a bad sign for Samuel's 2021.|

Dolphins | Jaylen Waddle not fully healthy Sat Jun 12, 04:24 PM
Miami Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle (ankle) has been a full participant during offseason workouts but is still limping because of an ankle injury he suffered last season at Alabama.
|Footballguys view: Even though Waddle has experience and chemistry with Tua Tagovailoa and Will Fuller is suspended for the first game of the year, Fuller may be more likely to make an early impact. The ADP spread of a round or two between the two with Fuller going early reflects this.|
Jets | Braxton Berrios carving out a role Sat Jun 12, 12:21 AM
New York Jets WR Braxton Berrios is establishing himself as QB Zach Wilson's 'safety blanket' during OTAs, according to Connor Hughes of The Athletic.
|Footballguys view: It's an interesting note to be sure. Berrios can break ankles in the open field and is super quick on underneath routes. It may not amount to much fantasy value in the regular season, but it's important to note how much Wilson is leaning on him in OTAs. Jamison Crowder is set to be the team's slot receiver, but the team wants him to take a 'significant' pay cut. If anything happens there, Berrios could move up the depth chart.|

Jets | Elijah Moore hauling in TDs Fri Jun 11, 11:53 PM
New York Jets WR Elijah Moore has been 'near unstoppable' in the red zone during OTAs, according to Connor Hughes of The Athletic.
|Footballguys view: Moore has lined up both inside and outside during OTAs. He's pushing for a starting job from day one and certainly impressing his teammates and coaches. Moore is a late-round pick with upside, and his ADP is going to rise as the summer goes on if he wins a job opposite of Corey Davis.|
Falcons | Russell Gage to expand role? Fri Jun 11, 11:26 PM
Atlanta Falcons WR Russell Gage Jr. has 'grown his game' and will play more than just the slot, according to head coach Arthur Smith. 'So we envision Russ playing multiple spots,' Smith said.
|Footballguys view: With Julio Jones traded away, the Falcons are going to have more work for guys like Gage. He didn't do much with a larger opportunity in 2020, so we'll see if he can work better this year by playing all over the field.|
Russell Gage player page
Giants | Evan Engram dominating at practice Fri Jun 11, 09:41 PM
New York Giants TE Evan Engram has been 'catching everything thrown in his direction' and has been the 'best offensive player on the field' during OTAs, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com.
|Footballguys view: Engram is the type of player who can dominate at the position. He just has trouble staying healthy, and that's what can hold him back (again) in 2021. Engram should be a safety-valve target for QB Daniel Jones and can be a TE1 for Fantasy GMs...if he stays healthy. His current ADP is TE10 (8.11) in 12-team PPR leagues.|

Cowboys | Dallas adds Reggie Davis Fri Jun 11, 05:08 PM
Free-agent WR Reggie Davis (Bears) signed with the Dallas Cowboys Friday, June 11. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. The team also waived WR Stephen Guidry.
|Footballguys view: Davis has bounced around the league and was on the Bears practice squad in 2020. He was with the Cowboys for parts of 2018 and 2019, spending some time on their practice squad. In college at Georgia, Davis was largely a return man but he's got 4.3 speed and can make defenders look silly in the open field. He's a long shot to make the Cowboys practice squad.|
Saints | Drew Brees placed on retired list Fri Jun 11, 04:56 PM
New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees was officially placed on the Reserve/Retired list Friday, June 11.
|Footballguys view: It's going to be weird not seeing Brees in a Saints jersey but this was coming for some time. The Saints are going to see if Jameis Winston can be their starter with Taysom Hill competing for the top spot as well...and Hill can still be a gadget quarterback if he doesn't win the starting job.|

Buccaneers | Chris Godwin open to long-term deal Fri Jun 11, 03:58 PM
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin said he is open to signing a long-term extension with the Buccaneers but will allow his agent to handle negotiations.
|Footballguys view: It was a no-brainer for the Buccaneers to place the franchise tag on Godwin earlier this offseason. They'll work diligently to get something done before the July 15th deadline to sign franchise-tagged players to long-term contracts.|

Ravens | Charles Clay worked out Fri Jun 11, 03:23 PM
Free-agent TE Charles Clay (Cardinals) worked out for the Baltimore Ravens last week, according to a source.

49ers | Senio Kelemete contract update Fri Jun 11, 03:03 PM

Eagles | Richard Rodgers back with Eagles Fri Jun 11, 02:51 PM
Free-agent TE Richard Rodgers (Eagles) signed with the Philadelphia Eagles Friday, June 11. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
|Footballguys view: Rodgers was pressed into duty last year and had some decent games for the Eagles, who rely on their tight end position more than most teams. He'll always be best known for catching a game-winning hail mary from Aaron Rodgers.|
49ers | Coach hopes Dee Ford can contribute Fri Jun 11, 02:16 PM
San Francisco 49ers DE Dee Ford (back) is still rehabbing from a back injury, but head coach Kyle Shanahan said he hopes Ford will be able to contribute on defense this upcoming season. Ford played in only one game last season because of the injury.
|Footballguys view: Ford has been a massive bust after the 49ers gave up a second round pick for the privilege of signing him to a five-year, $85 million dollar deal in 2019. He has played in 12 regular season games and recorded 6.5 sacks since signing the contract.|

Cowboys | Osa Odighizuwa agrees to deal Fri Jun 11, 01:46 PM
Dallas Cowboys third-round draft choice DT Osa Odighizuwa agreed to terms on a four-year contract with the Cowboys Friday, June 11, according to a source. Financial terms were not disclosed.
|Footballguys view: Odighizuwa isn't going to make a lot of highlight plays, but he'll be stout against the run and be able to play defensive tackle and defensive end for a young defensive line.|
Giants | Kadarius Toney working with backups Fri Jun 11, 01:40 PM
New York Giants WR Kadarius Toney worked exclusively with the second-team offense during the mandatory minicamp this week, according to The Athletic's Dan Duggan.
|Footballguys view: Toney missed three weeks of voluntary minicamp, a rarity for rookies, especially after they sign an injury waiver that protects their earnings before they sign their contract. Toney's tenure with the Giants has gotten off on the wrong foot, but there's plenty of time for that to change. Sterling Shepard might have surprising value if Toney's rookie year is as inauspicious as his first month with the team.|
Ravens | Odafe Oweh signs contract Fri Jun 11, 01:03 PM
Baltimore Ravens first-round draft choice LB Odafe Oweh signed a four-year contract with the Ravens Friday, June 11. The deal includes a fifth-year option, but financial terms were not disclosed.
|Footballguys view: Oweh has all the traits you want in a top pass rusher, but he didn't record a sack last year at Penn State. He'll play right away in the effort to replace Matt Judon, who signed with the Patriots in free agency.|
49ers | Senio Kelemete to Niners Fri Jun 11, 10:46 AM
Free-agent OL Senio Kelemete (Texans) agreed to an undisclosed deal with the San Francisco 49ers Friday, June 11.
|Footballguys view: Kelemete started five games at guard for the Texans last year. He'll take the roster spot of swing tackle Justin Skule, who tore an ACL in practice this week.|
Falcons | Kyle Pitts being fast tracked Fri Jun 11, 09:42 AM
Atlanta Falcons first-round pick TE Kyle Pitts is being force-fed in practice in order to integrate him into the offense. Pitts has been moving around the formations in the open OTAs and the mandatory minicamp.
|Footballguys view: Pitts could become the centerpiece of the pass offense and threaten George Kittle for TE3 status in the fantasy football ranks. His arrow is pointing way up and you probably need to reach for him to secure his services in redraft leagues. It could prove to be a brilliant move.|
Bengals | Ja'Marr Chase to move around Thu Jun 10, 10:19 PM
Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase will give the offense more versatility than it had with Arizona Cardinals WR A.J. Green, who lined up exclusively outside, according to WR Tyler Boyd. 'I think we got a lot more balance and can just call anything now,' Boyd said. 'We don't gotta worry about guys being in certain spots.'
|Footballguys view: The Bengals three wide receiver offense should come to life this year, and all three could be everyweek starts because of their varied talents and skillsets. Chase should be the first one drafted because of his elite prospect profile and history with Joe Burrow.|
Bengals | Joe Mixon on a snap count? Thu Jun 10, 10:07 PM
Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon will share some third-down responsibilities this season, according to head coach Zac Taylor. 'Having Joe Mixon on the field makes us better,' Taylor said. 'At the same time, you don't need him on the field for 75 snaps a game.'
|Footballguys view: Samaje Perine is the backup to Mixon and would be first in line for snaps behind him. Chris Evans, the team's sixth round pick, has some passing game chops, and that role might be Trayveon Williams best route to make the team as the third running back. UDFA Pooka Williams is dynamic with the ball in his hands, and if he makes the team as a returner, he might figure into the third down picture.|

Lions | Tyrell Williams the go-to guy? Thu Jun 10, 09:56 PM
Detroit Lions WR Tyrell Williams 'appears to be' the No. 1 receiver for QB Jared Goff during practices, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.
|Footballguys view: Williams isn't going to run the whole route tree, but he can make a difference downfield and after the catch on crossing routes. He could have some spot start viability if he's completely over his foot problems.|
Tyrell Williams player page
Lions | Breshad Perriman struggling Thu Jun 10, 09:51 PM
Detroit Lions WR Breshad Perriman has been 'less consistent' during practices, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.
|Footballguys view: Perriman is a boom/bust player from week to week and play to play, so this matches his modus operandi. He's only going to be a weekly desperation play and only for as long as he stays healthy.|
Breshad Perriman player page
Lions | Amon-Ra St. Brown poised to start? Thu Jun 10, 09:49 PM
Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown has 'looked the part' of the No. 3 receiver during OTAs, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.
|Footballguys view: St. Brown should be among the team leaders in receptions at wide receiver, but he won't be posting a high yards per catch as a possession receiver from the slot, so his fantasy appeal is limited despite the early opportunity in three wide sets.|
Lions | Quintez Cephus on the rise? Thu Jun 10, 09:46 PM
Detroit Lions WR Quintez Cephus has 'really come on' during recent practices, according to head coach Dan Campbell. 'We feel like he's growing right in front of us and that's what you want these guys to do during this time,' Campbell said.
|Footballguys view: Cephus should be the favorite to be the top backup outside, but he has no ties to the new regime. That makes it especially valuable to know that the new head coach is a fan. His dynasty stock should stabilize on this news.|
Lions | Bigger role for Victor Bolden? Thu Jun 10, 09:39 PM
Detroit Lions WR Victor Bolden has had more 'put on his plate' throughout OTAs, according to head coach Dan Campbell.
|Footballguys view: The Lions don't have any established wide receivers after Tyrell Williams and Breshad Perriman, so the depth chart has some vacancies that could lead to long-term opportunities, making everyone on the roster including Bolden worth monitoring in deep dynasty leagues.|
Buccaneers | Curtis Riley has Achilles issue Thu Jun 10, 09:32 PM
Tampa Bay Buccaneers S Curtis Riley (Achilles) suffered a 'slight Achilles tear' during practice Wednesday, June 9, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.
|Footballguys view: Riley is a journeyman who was on the roster fringe at best, so this doesn't affect the Bucs defensive outlook.|
