Seahawks | Seattle expected to pursue Antonio Brown Wed Oct 21, 04:10 PM
Free-agent WR Antonio Brown (Patriots) is expected to receive interest from the Seattle Seahawks in the upcoming weeks, according to sources.
|Footballguys view: The Seahawks have to pass early and often due to their struggling defense. Adding Brown would be a boost and he has worked with QB Russell Wilson during the offseason. Brown's suspension will end after Week 8, and he is receiving interest from other teams.|

Bills | John Brown does not practice Wed Oct 21, 04:01 PM
Buffalo Bills WR John Brown (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 21.

Steelers | Diontae Johnson a full participant Wed Oct 21, 03:49 PM
Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson (back) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 21.
|Footballguys view: Johnson will be back this week for the Steelers unless there is a setback during the practice week. They'll need him against the undefeated Titans on Sunday. With Johnson's return, James Washington is pushed down the pecking order into 'what the heck' flex territory. Johnson is a WR3/flex option if he plays.|

Steelers | No practice for JuJu Smith-Schuster Wed Oct 21, 03:47 PM
Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 21.

Jets | Denzel Mims may play in Week 7 Wed Oct 21, 03:02 PM
New York Jets WR Denzel Mims (hamstring) has a good chance to play in the Week 7 game, according to head coach Adam Gase.
|Footballguys view: There's not much to be excited about with the Jets passing game outside of Jamison Crowder. However, Breshad Perriman is healthy and flashing his talent and Mims may return soon. Mims, a second-round pick out of Baylor, has a great size/speed combination and he's got incredible 'my ball' mentality.|
Giants | Update on Darius Slayton's Week 7 status Wed Oct 21, 02:23 PM
Correcting a previous report, New York Giants WR Darius Slayton (foot) is not on the injury report for the Week 7 game.
|Footballguys view: The Giants play on Thursday night against the Eagles. We like him as a low-end WR2 with upside in Week 7.|
Darius Slayton player page
Eagles | Jason Croom added to active roster Wed Oct 21, 01:59 PM
Philadelphia Eagles practice squad TE Jason Croom was signed to the 53-man roster Wednesday, Oct. 21. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. The team also released OG Jamon Brown.

Eagles | DeSean Jackson not on injury report Wed Oct 21, 01:31 PM
Philadelphia Eagles WR DeSean Jackson (hamstring) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 21, and is not on the injury report for Week 7.
|Footballguys view: The Eagles play against the Giants on Thursday night. It looks like Jackson should be out there. Jackson can make his fantasy day on a play or two, so he's at least a 'what the heck' flex with upside upon his return.|
DeSean Jackson player page
Eagles | Alshon Jeffery misses practice Wed Oct 21, 01:31 PM
Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (calf, foot) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 21, and has been ruled out for Week 7.
|Footballguys view: Fantasy GMs weren't counting on Jeffery to begin with. Jeffery was supposed to be back but now has to spend more time on the shelf.|

Updating previous stories, Baltimore Ravens RB Mark Ingram (ankle) was diagnosed with a mid- to high-ankle sprain Tuesday, Oct. 20, following an MRI.
|Footballguys view: Fantasy GMs can feel comfortable moving on from Ingram for better help on the waiver wire. Ingram's injury isn't believed to be serious, according to this report, and he could be available to play following the Ravens' Week 7 bye.|

Giants | Sterling Shepard on his way back Tue Oct 20, 05:54 PM
New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (toe) was designated for return from the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Oct. 20.
|Footballguys view: Giants head coach Joe Judge has previously stated that Shepard will likely be a game-time decision for Thursday's game against the Eagles. We'll see him limited at best in practice on this short week.|

Panthers | Christian McCaffrey unlikely for Week 7 Tue Oct 20, 03:55 PM
Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey (ankle) isn't expected to play in Week 7 against the New Orleans Saints, but he 'has a shot' to play in Week 8 versus the Atlanta Falcons, according to NFL Network's Mike Garofolo.
|Footballguys view: The Panthers don't really know when McCaffrey will be back. He's getting closer and we should have a better idea about his status next week.|

Steelers | Diontae Johnson healed up Tue Oct 20, 12:39 PM
Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson (back) will practice Wednesday, Oct. 21.
|Footballguys view: Johnson should be back in action for the Steelers in the near future. Check his status on Friday to see if he's going to play in Week 7. Also, make sure to drop projections for James Washington if Johnson is cleared to play. It's a battle of the undefeated as the Steelers travel to take on the Titans this Sunday.|

Dolphins | Ryan Fitzpatrick relegated to bench Tue Oct 20, 11:37 AM
Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Fitzpatrick will be replaced as starter after the Week 7 bye by QB Tua Tagovailoa.
|Footballguys view: Fitzpatrick has done his job and the team is ready to move on. This was the team's plan all along, it just comes as a bit of a surprise as Fitzpatrick has mostly played well this season and the Dolphins are 3-3 heading into their Week 7 bye.|
Ryan Fitzpatrick player page
Dolphins | Tua Tagovailoa taking the reins Tue Oct 20, 11:36 AM
Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa was named starting quarterback in Week 8 after the team's bye this week.
|Footballguys view: We all knew this day would come...the timing is just interesting. Tagovailoa has the upside to be a franchise quarterback -- something the Dolphins have not had since the days of Dan Marino. They have a bye in Week 7 to give the rookie first-round pick more time to get ready to go. Fantasy GMs in 2-QB leagues or superflex formats should be adding Tagovailoa on the waiver wire this week.|
Bengals | John Ross asked for trade Tue Oct 20, 09:51 AM
Cincinnati Bengals WR John Ross approached the team about a trade. Ross is in the last year of his rookie deal and seeking a fresh start.
|Footballguys view: Things just haven't gone well for Ross in Cincinnati. He's been hurt most of his pro career having played just 26 games in four years. Ross has been sick (illness in Week 5) or a healthy scratch for all but three games in 2020. He did play in Week 6 but only got on the field for one snap. We'll see if Ross gets traded away but the Bengals likely won't get much in return.|

Chiefs | More on Le'Veon Bell's deal Tue Oct 20, 09:03 AM
Updating previous reports, Kansas City Chiefs RB Le'Veon Bell will receive $500,000 for 25 percent playing time in an AFC title win and $500,000 for 25 percent playing time in a Super Bowl win.
|Footballguys view: Bell gets to debut with his new team in Week 7 on the road against the Broncos. We'll see how much they use him in his first game and how much Bell contributes as a runner and receiver out of the backfield. Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Bell should split time in the backfield going forward.|

49ers | Raheem Mostert likely going on IR Mon Oct 19, 06:44 PM
San Francisco 49ers RB Raheem Mostert (ankle) suffered a high ankle sprain during the Week 6 game and likely will be placed on the Reserve/Injured list, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.
|Footballguys view: Mostert has a high ankle sprain and those take quite a bit of time to heal properly. If he's on the IR list then Mostert will have to miss three weeks before he's eligible to return. The 49ers could turn to Jeff Wilson and JaMycal Hasty while Mostert is out. They also have Jerick McKinnon to serve as a big-play back in their 'hot hand' RBBC.|
Raheem Mostert player page
Ravens | Mark Ingram may play in Week 8 Mon Oct 19, 05:02 PM
Baltimore Ravens RB Mark Ingram (ankle) does not have a 'significant' ankle injury, leading head coach John Harbaugh to believe Ingram 'has a chance' of playing in Week 8 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers.
|Footballguys view: Ravens v Steelers is always a hard-fought game. Having a back like Ingram out there to soften up the defense would greatly help. Gus Edwards and rookie J.K. Dobbins will get work as well when the Ravens want to hand the ball off.|
Mark Ingram II player page
Browns | David Njoku restates desire for trade Mon Oct 19, 04:45 PM
Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku, who asked for the Browns to trade him in early July before rescinding the request nearly a month later, has made it be known he would like to be traded before the Nov. 3 deadline.
|Footballguys view: We'll see if there's some movement here this time. Many will speculate the Patriots would be a likely destination for Njoku but we'll see if the Browns can be swayed with an offer they can't refuse.|
David Njoku player page
Titans | Corey Davis cleared to return Mon Oct 19, 04:19 PM
Tennessee Titans WR Corey Davis was activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Oct. 19.
|Footballguys view: Davis was looking good earlier this year before being placed on the COVID-19 list. He caught five of his six targets for 69 yards in a 31-30 win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 3. Upon his return, Davis will give QB Ryan Tannehill another quality target to throw to. Davis is a flex play for Fantasy GMs in deeper leagues.|

Panthers | Christian McCaffrey still with no set timetable? Mon Oct 19, 02:33 PM
Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey (ankle) has missed four games with a high-ankle sprain, and head coach Matt Rhule told reporters Monday, Oct. 19, that he's not sure if McCaffrey will return in Week 7, Week 8 or Week 9.
|Footballguys view: The Panthers have no idea when McCaffrey is going to be back but we can say they aren't rushing him back. Mike Davis has been the fill in with McCaffrey out and he's got RB1 potential for Fantasy GMs each week.|
Christian McCaffrey player page
Jets | Denzel Mims nearing debut? Mon Oct 19, 02:26 PM
New York Jets WR Denzel Mims (hamstring) reportedly put in a lot of work with the scout team leading up to Week 6, and the hope is that will be a launching point for him to make his NFL debut in Week 7 versus the Buffalo Bills.
|Footballguys view: Mims has a ton of talent that we have yet to see. The rookie from Baylor has a great size/speed combination and can go up and rip contested passes away from defenders. We're not too high on anyone not named Jamison Crowder in the Jets passing game, but we do love Mims in dynasty formats.|
Eagles | Zach Ertz likely to miss 3-4 weeks Mon Oct 19, 01:56 PM
Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (ankle) is expected to be sidelined three to four weeks after he was diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain following the team's Week 6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
|Footballguys view: Fantasy GMs can move on from the veteran tight end. The Eagles may be getting Dallas Goedert back in Week 7 for their Thursday night matchup against the Giants. If Goedert isn't ready yet, the team will turn to Richard Rodgers as their primary tight end.|
Zach Ertz player page
Eagles | Miles Sanders unlikely to go Week 7 Mon Oct 19, 01:40 PM
Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders (knee) is expected to miss Week 7 against the New York Giants with a knee injury he suffered in Week 6, according to sources.
|Footballguys view: No surprise here. Sanders is getting checked out and we'll know more about his knee injury in the near future. The Eagles play on Thursday, so Sanders was unlikely to go even if he got great news on his knee. That makes Boston Scott the lead back for the Eagles and he's got RB2 potential with upside in Week 7. Check out your waiver wire to see if he's there.|

Eagles | Jalen Hurts' role to increase soon? Mon Oct 19, 01:08 PM
Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts has rushed seven times for 49 yards and one catch for three yards through six weeks, and head coach Doug Pederson told reporters Monday, Oct. 19, that he 'could see things continuing' in terms of his role increasing in the offense moving forward.
|Footballguys view: We could see the Eagles use Hurts more as the season goes on. He's a quarterback but he's the Eagles version of Taysom Hill. Hurts can hurt a defense as a runner, receiver...and even as a passer on gadget plays. The Eagles need more playmakers on offense and Hurts can be one.|
Titans | Taylor Lewan out for season Mon Oct 19, 12:48 PM
Tennessee Titans OT Taylor Lewan (knee) announced his MRI revealed a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee, and he'll miss the rest of the season.
|Footballguys view: Lewan is a cornerstone of the Titans offensive line and he's rarely missed time even though he's played banged up. Now, he'll miss the year and try to get ready for the 2021 season. There's a chance he could be ready for the start of next season, although that is no guarantee given it takes around 12 months to properly heal from this injury. Ty Sambrailo takes over for Lewan at left tackle.|
Titans | Jonnu Smith has minor sprain Mon Oct 19, 12:40 PM
Tennessee Titans TE Jonnu Smith (ankle) has a minor ankle sprain that will likely make him questionable for next week against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
|Footballguys view: Good news for Titans fans and Fantasy GMs here. Smith left the game against the Texans early and then Anthony Firkser caught eight passes for 113 yards and a touchdown as his replacement. We'll likely see Smith limited in practice all week long, so keep an eye on his Friday status to determine whether or not he's going to play.|

Browns | Baker Mayfield sore, but OK Mon Oct 19, 11:54 AM
Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield (ribs) came out of Week 6 sore, but nowhere near as sore as he was after last week, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski.
|Footballguys view: The Steelers got after Mayfield early and often. He was sacked four times and generally under pressure from the first snap. Mayfield will be limited in practice with this ribs injury for most of the year. Browns coach Kevin Stefanski announced Mayfield will start Week 7 against the Bengals so long as he's healthy.|

Vikings | Kirk Cousins' job on the line? Mon Oct 19, 11:19 AM
Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins said after throwing three interceptions in Week 6: 'The reality is if the pace I'm on in terms of the interceptions, if that were to continue, I won't finish the season,' Cousins said. 'I won't - you know what I mean? There's a little bit of, you got to improve. Whether it's them telling me, 'Hey, we gotta improve,' or them pulling me; we got to get better. That's what the rest of the season will be about for me is trying to protect the football as best I can. Because when you turn the ball over, it really hurts your chances to win. I know that. I just need to improve as we look ahead to the rest of the season.'
|Footballguys view: We'll see what kind of changes the Vikings offense makes during their Week 7 bye. They come back in Week 8 in a big game against the Packers and Cousins should perform like a QB2 for Fantasy GMs. Getting RB Dalvin Cook back in Week 8 will greatly help this offense and the performance of Cousins.|
Kirk Cousins player page
Bengals | Tyler Boyd has mediocre showing Sun Oct 18, 07:01 PM
Cincinnati Bengals WR Tyler Boyd posted five receptions for 54 yards on eight targets in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts.
|Footballguys view: Boyd wasn't a high volume target with AJ Green returning to playable form today. He's still a low ceiling PPR WR3/Flex but now there are more mouths to feed in this pass offense heading into a matchup with Cleveland.|
Tyler Boyd player page
Packers | David Bakhtiari ruled out for rest of game Sun Oct 18, 06:56 PM
Green Bay Packers OT David Bakhtiari (chest) left the Week 6 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he will not return.
|Footballguys view: The Packers offensive line has been overwhelmed by the Bucs defense today. The Packers face JJ Watt and the Texans next week and obviously need Bakhtiari. This will be a very important injury upside to watch tomorrow.|
Dolphins | DeVante Parker suffers injury Sun Oct 18, 06:51 PM
Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (groin) suffered a groin injury during the Week 6 game and is considered questionable to return.
|Footballguys view: Parker luckily has a bye next week but this is now his second soft tissue injury problem this year. It's possible Preston Williams could be the #1 for some games this year and don't forget Mike Gesicki in the passing game even though he was overshadowed by Adam Shaheen today.|
DeVante Parker player page
Bengals | A.J. Green just misses triple digits Sun Oct 18, 06:49 PM
Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green racked up eight receptions for 96 yards on 11 targets in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts.
|Footballguys view: Green is back in the fantasy relevant zone, although he'll face a Browns defense that shut him down earlier in the season. He had his best game of the year by far even though he came in with a hamstring injury. He should at least be rostered to see if this is a trend and Green just needed some time to warm up.|
A.J. Green player page
Steelers | Devin Bush has torn ACL Sun Oct 18, 06:44 PM
Pittsburgh Steelers LB Devin Bush (knee) suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament during the Week 6 game and will undergo season-ending surgery, according to a source.
|Footballguys view: Bush was a key addition to this defense along with Minkah Fitzpatrick, but such is the marathon through a minefield that is the NFL season. There isn't an obvious replacement on the roster.|
Devin Bush player page
Bengals | Tee Higgins hits triple digits Sun Oct 18, 06:43 PM
Cincinnati Bengals WR Tee Higgins posted career highs with six receptions and 125 yards in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts on eight targets.
|Footballguys view: Even with AJ Green having a revival and being part of the Bengals pass offense today, Higgins was still the top downfield threat. He'll be in lineups next week against Cleveland.|
Vikings | Adam Thielen reaches end zone Sun Oct 18, 06:36 PM
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen caught three passes for 51 yards and one touchdown against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6. He was targeted five times during the game.
|Footballguys view: Thielen's garbage time scores are helping his floor stay higher as the Vikings season crashes and burns. He has been a WR1 so far in fantasy leagues, but this is a fragile situation with the Vikings wanting to run a lot and Justin Jefferson emerging as the primary downfield threat.|
Adam Thielen player page
Bengals | Joe Burrow goes over 300 yards Sun Oct 18, 06:30 PM
Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow completed 25-of-39 passes for 313 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts and he rushed for two yards and a score.
|Footballguys view: Burrow and the Bengals squandered a 21-0 lead in this one. While his fantasy result was solid and surprising against a Colts defense that had been frustrating lesser quarterbacks, it was still a bitter loss heading into a matchup with Cleveland. Consider Burrow a decent streamer/superflex next week on the basis of continued high volume.|
Vikings | Irv Smith finishes with 55 yards Sun Oct 18, 06:23 PM
Minnesota Vikings TE Irv Smith caught four passes for 55 yards against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6. He was targeted five times during the game.
|Footballguys view: Smith has some fantasy relevance with two straight decent games going into his bye, but his ceiling might not be high enough to justify having him clog up a roster spot with no chance of value growth next week.|
