Carolina Panthers DT Derrick Brown (knee) said he hopes he will be able to be ready for the start of training camp.
Footballguys view: Derrick Brown is a force against the run. The Panthers rush defense basically collapsed without him last year after his season was ended by a meniscus injury in Week 1. We'll be watching his progress in camp to help project the Week 1 matchup against the new-look Jaguars offense. |

Buffalo Bills fourth-round draft choice DT Deone Walker (Kentucky) signed his four-year rookie contract on Friday, June 13. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.
Link to storyArizona Cardinals DT Walter Nolen signed a four-year contract Tuesday, June 10. Per NFL rules, the team has a fifth-year option as Nolen was a first-round selection. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Link to storyCincinnati Bengals DE Trey Hendrickson is not at the team's minicamp Tuesday, June 10.
Footballguys view: As NFL.com notes, the veteran pass rusher has been trying to get a new deal for the past several years. This offseason, things turned contentious, with no progress made on an extension. The club allowed Hendrickson to seek a trade earlier this offseason, but interested teams shied away from giving up draft capital and paying the salary he's seeking. Hendrickson has said he has no plans on playing for Cincy without a new contract. Skipping minicamp, which will subject him to more than $100,000 in fines, is the next phase of what continues to be a protracted battle. |

Green Bay Packers DL Kenny Clark underwent surgery on his foot shortly after the season to fix an injury he sustained during the team's Week 1 game against the Philadelphia Eagles that took place in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Clark indicated he dealt with a bunion and bone spurs, which led to the surgery.
Footballguys view: Clark posted his lowest tackle total since his rookie season of 2006 and had only one sack all season after totaling 15.5 over the previous three seasons combined. Clark just began doing individual drills during OTA practices this week, so those interested in investing in him as a depth piece in IDP leagues will want to monitor his progress. |

Cincinnati Bengals DE Trey Hendrickson has firmly indicated that he has no desire to play on his current contract and 'very well might follow through on his promise to miss games or even the season,' according to a source via ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Footballguys view: The Bengals need all the help they can get on defense, and Hendrickson is one of the best in the league. The relationship is as sour as it can be, and Hendrickson has no problem airing his frustration with the team publicly. Anything can happen, and money would make everything better but this is as ugly as it can get. |

Link to storyNew York Jets DE Will McDonald added 15 pounds in the offseason in hopes of becoming a stronger edge setter against the run, according to head coach Aaron Glenn. The added weight likely pushes McDonald in the 250-pound range after he was listed at 236 last season.
Link to storyChicago Bears DE Shemar Turner will focus on playing along the interior of the defensive line before the team considers testing his edge versatility, according to defensive coordinator Dennis Allen.
Footballguys view: Coming out of Texas A&M this year, Turner had 'tweener' traits on the field for the Aggies. The Bears liked him enough to spend a second-round pick on him, and he'll work inside to begin his pro career. Turner can get off the snap quickly, and he's the type of player who can create interior pressure. However, his lack of mass could allow double teams to move him out of the way inside. |
Cincinnati Bengals DE Trey Hendrickson does not appear to be a serious trade target for the Detroit Lions at this time, according to the Detroit Free-Press' Dave Birkett.

Las Vegas Raiders DE Maxx Crosby told reporters on Friday, May 23, that he is playing at '100 percent and (with) no hesitation' after undergoing ankle surgery this offseason.
Footballguys view: The Raiders are happy with this update. Crosby totaled 7.5 sacks for the Raiders in 12 games last season before suffering an ankle injury that required surgery. Earlier this offseason, the Raiders signed Crosby to a three-year, $106.5 million contract extension. Having him at full strength is a huge boost for the Raiders defense in 2025 playing in a division with great quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert, and Bo Nix. |

Detroit Lions DE Aidan Hutchinson (leg) is fully cleared to practice, and contract extension talks are expected to 'kickstart' now that he is healthy, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Footballguys view: Hutchinson said he has been "fully cleared" to return from the fractured tibia and fibula he suffered in 2024. Now, it's time for the two sides to talk contract. He's one of the best in the business at the EDGE position, but this injury may keep his next contract from being a market-resetting deal. |
Las Vegas Raiders LB Malcolm Koonce (knee) did not participate in offseason workouts Wednesday, May 21, but he said he expects to return to the field shortly. 'I should be good soon,' Koonce said.
