Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick caught four passes for 101 yards against the New England Patriots in Week 6. He was targeted eight times during the game.

Footballguys view: Patrick is more prominent than Jerry Jeudy in the game plan and on the field, no matter who the quarterback is. He made some strong plays on deep balls to account for Drew Lock's best plays of the day. He'll be in WR3/Flex consideration against the Chiefs next week.

Broncos | Drew Lock throws two INTs    Sun Oct 18, 03:44 PM

Denver Broncos QB Drew Lock went 10-for-24 for 189 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions against the New England Patriots in Week 6.

Footballguys view: Lock wasn't very nuanced in his play and forced the ball to his college teammate Albert Okwuegbunam. He also threw two picks late that gave the Patriots a chance to win. He doesn't seem like anything but a desperation play, even in 2QB/Superflex leagues. Lock faces the Chiefs next week, which won't be as tough a draw as the Patriots secondary.

Undrafted out of Old Dominion in 2019, Cox was signed to a futures deal by the Broncos in early 2020. He is a big back, weighing 225 pounds, but he has explosive traits (39-inch vertical leap) and can consistently catch passes out of the backfield.

Denver Broncos TE Noah Fant (ankle) was downgraded Saturday, Oct. 17, to out for Week 6 at the New England Patriots.

Footballguys view: Fant was 50/50 in terms of returning this week but he's not yet fully recovered. That means the team will use more of Nick Vannett and Jake Butt in Week 6 against the Patriots. We might see rookie Albert Okwuegbunam activated for the first time this year too.

Phillip Lindsay is back this week for the Broncos and he'll lead the way at the running back position. Royce Freeman will work as his primary backup.

Denver Broncos QB Drew Lock (shoulder) practiced in full Wednesday, Oct. 14.

Footballguys view: Lock should be the starter for the Broncos on Sunday against the Patriots. They'll blitz him because Lock struggles mightily when you bring extra pressure. The Broncos season is in shambles, so they need to do what they can to see if Lock can be their franchise quarterback.

Denver Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay (foot) practiced in full Wednesday, Oct. 14.

Footballguys view: Melvin Gordon's status is up in the air after being cited for a DUI on Tuesday night. Lindsay is back in action and should be their lead back. The Patriots have not allowed a 100-yard rusher this year so consider Lindsay more of a flex play in Week 6.
