New York Giants WR Wan'Dale Robinson caught eight of his 10 targets for a career-high 142 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys.
Footballguys view: Robinson had a decent PPR showing in Week 1, but the Giants offense failed to score a touchdown. He had one of the best wide receiver games of Week 2 in this one with Russell Wilson finding his deep ball accuracy and the Cowboys unable to slow down the Giants passing game. If Robinson is still out there, he'll be a hot pickup heading into a more challenging matchup against the Chiefs. |
New York Giants WR Malik Nabers caught nine of his 13 targets for 167 yards and two touchdowns in Week 2 versus the Dallas Cowboys.
Footballguys view: In case you were wondering if Nabers can still be an elite WR1 with Russell Wilson, we got our answer against the Cowboys. |
New York Giants RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. carried five times for 15 yards and caught four of his five targets for 36 yards in Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys.
Link to storyNew York Giants RB Cam Skattebo rushed 11 times for 45 yards and a touchdown and hauled in two of his three targets for 14 yards in Week 2 versus the Dallas Cowboys.
Footballguys view: More importantly, the Giants seemed to face Skattebo over Tyrone Tracy as the game went on. They don't seem to have the ability to support a strong running game, but Skattebo is a good receiver and short yardage runner. He'll be the top pickup of the week at running back if he is available. |
New York Giants QB Russell Wilson finished 30-of-41 for 450 yards and three touchdowns with one interception in Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys. Wilson also ran for 23 yards on three carries.
Footballguys view: Wilson had a career high in yards and beat the Cowboys on deep balls - including a long touchdown to Malik Nabers with under a minute left to take the lead. The talk of benching the veteran for Jaxson Dart should go away for at least a few weeks. He and the Giants will face a tougher defense when the Chiefs come to New Jersey next week. |

New York Giants WR Wan'Dale Robinson (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 12, and is listed as questionable for Week 2.
Footballguys view: Robinson got in a limited practice on Thursday too. If you need him in your deep PPR league, make sure he is active against the Cowboys on Sunday morning before plugging him into your lineup. |
New York Giants WR Darius Slayton (groin) is expected to play in the Week 2 game despite his groin injury, according to head coach Brian Daboll.

Link to storyNew York Giants WR Wan'Dale Robinson (ankle) returned to practice Thursday, Sept. 11.
Footballguys view: Robinson should be good for Week 2 against the Cowboys. With his injury status and the matchup, Robinson is more of a WR4/flex play for Fantasy GMs out there. |
New York Giants WR Malik Nabers (back) will be a full participant in practice Thursday, Sept. 11.
Footballguys view: A full participation makes us fell a lot better about Nabers' availability. A back injury is nothing to mess around with, but Nabers seems to be on the right track here. |
New York Giants DT Dexter Lawrence (non-injury), LB Micah McFadden (foot), WR Wan'Dale Robinson (ankle) and OT Andrew Thomas (foot) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 10. LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (calf) and WR Malik Nabers (back) were limited during practice.

New York Giants QB Russell Wilson will remain the starting quarterback for Week 2 as head coach Brian Daboll said rookie QB Jaxson Dart remains the QB2.
Footballguys view: The Giants have committed to Wilson for one more week...which is a bad sign because it's Week 2! The offensive line is not great, and that's not going to help an aging Wilson. It's only a matter of time before Dart sees the field, and behind that line he's going to be tested when that happens. |

New York Giants WR Wan'Dale Robinson (ankle) is out of practice Wednesday, Sept. 10.

Link to storyNew York Giants LB Micah McFadden (foot) will have surgery on his foot, a source said Tuesday, Sept. 9. He is expected to miss significant time, although he is not expected to miss the season, according to beat writer Jordan Raanan.
Footballguys view: McFadden was carted off the field during the team's Week 1 loss to the Commanders. Testing revealed a significant foot injury that will require the 2022 fifth-rounder to undergo surgery. As CBSSports.com suggested, it's a substantial loss to the Giants' defense, as McFadden led the team with 107 combined tackles across 14 regular-season games in 2024. Darius Muasau is expected to start alongside Bobby Okereke at inside linebacker for as long as McFadden is sidelined. |
New York Giants QB Russell Wilson will be the starting quarterback for the Giants in Week 2, according to head coach Brian Daboll.
Footballguys view: As Profootballtalk.com suggested, at some point, the Giants will turn to their rookie quarterback, Jaxson Dart. But it won't be this week. Wilson completed just 17-of-37 passes for 168 yards in Sunday's loss to the Commanders. But he was also the Giants' leading rusher with 44 yards on eight carries, which led to Daboll acknowledging his quarterback wasn't the only issue. But if Wilson continues to underwhelm, the calls to turn to Dart will only get louder. The Giants will be in Dallas next Sunday for their second road game to start the 2025 season. |

Giants coach Brian Daboll was asked after Sunday's 21-6 season-opening loss to the Commanders if it was fair to say that quarterback Russell Wilson will be the team's starter next week against the division rival Cowboys. His answers were hardly definitive just moments after a contest in which first-round pick Jaxson Dart served as the team's backup ahead of veteran Jameis Winston. "We're going to get home and look at our game," Daboll said when asked if he would consider starting Dart next week.
Footballguys view: Wilson went 17-of-37 passing for 168 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in the loss. He was especially ineffective under pressure, completing just 2 of 12 passes for 26 yards with two sacks and two scrambles. New York managed just 231 yards of total offense. The Giants did have a package planned for Dart, although they didn't use it in the contest. Wilson played all 62 offensive plays. We'll see if that changes this week, as the Giants begin preparing for the Cowboys. |

New York Giants WR Wan'Dale Robinson hauled in six of his eight targets for 55 yards in Week 1 against the Washington Commanders.
Link to storyNew York Giants WR Malik Nabers hauled in only five of his 12 targets for 71 yards in Week 1 versus the Washington Commanders.
Link to storyNew York Giants RB Cam Skattebo lost three yards on two carries and caught both of his targets for 12 yards in Week 1 against the Washington Commanders.
Link to storyNew York Giants QB Russell Wilson finished 17-of-37 for 168 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Week 1 versus the Washington Commanders. Wilson also ran for a team-high 44 yards on eight carries.
Footballguys view: It won't be very long before Jaxson Dart starts. The Giants offense was morose in Week 1, but they will have a longer and better second act with Wilson on the sidelines. |

Updating previous reports, New York Giants LB Micah McFadden (ankle, leg) underwent X-rays on the ankle and leg injuries he suffered during the Week 1 game and they were negative, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

New York Giants QB Jaxson Dart could make his NFL debut in Week 1 versus the Washington Commanders, according to multiple sources. The team has designed a package of offensive plays for him, although there's no guarantee that head coach Brian Daboll and offensive coordinator Mike Kafka will actually use him.
Link to storyNew York Giants OT Andrew Thomas (foot) is listed as doubtful for Week 1 against the Washington Commanders. When asked by reporters on Friday Sept. 5, whether he'd play in the opener, Thomas responded, 'We'll see.' He's currently managing pain and soreness and will base his decision on risk of re-injury, ESPN.com's Jordan Raanan reported. Thomas, however, did take first team reps on Friday.
Link to storyNew York Giants WR Malik Nabers (back) missed practice on Friday, Sept. 5, but is expected to play against the Washington Commanders.
Link to storyNew York Giants OT Andrew Thomas (foot) was limited in practice on Friday, Sept. 5, and is doubtful for Week 1 against the Washington Commanders. WR Malik Nabers (back) did not practice on Friday but is expected to play.
Footballguys view: Thomas is the Giants best offensive lineman, so this is notable. He had surgery to repair a lis franc injury last October and is still not able to play. The Giants should be conservative about his return to the field to avoid a setback that could sideline him for a big chunk of the season. |
New York Giants WR Malik Nabers (back) is dealing with back tightness, but he's good to go for Week 1 against the Washington Commanders, according to head coach Brian Daboll.
Footballguys view: For a young player, Nabers has a lot of chronic ailments. Also like a veteran, Nabers is a "gamer" and doesn't need practice to play at a high level. If he has a strong debut against the Commanders, we can probably put any worries about his back and foot problems on the back burner. If he doesn't look like himself, we'll be watching the Week 2 practice reports closely. |
New York Giants OT Andrew Thomas (foot) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 4.
