Giants | Wan'Dale Robinson likely to move around Sun Jun 29, 11:36 AM
New York Giants WR Wan'Dale Robinson said that he expects to move around more frequently in 2025, after he played in the slot position for 77.7 percent of his snaps during the 2024 season.
Footballguys view: Robinson finished as WR44 in PPR leagues on a points per game basis last year, but he's going off of the board as WR68 this year. It doesn't seem like fantasy players believe he will reproduce his 93-catch 2024 season, perhaps in part because he was limited to very short passes that only resulted in 699 receiving yards. Robinson could surprise if the Giants turn to pass-happy backup Jameis Winston, or if first round pick Jaxson Dart takes over during the season and relies on Robinson frequently as a high percentage target. |
New York Giants WR Jalin Hyatt said that his playing weight was 170-171 pounds last year but estimated that he has added 25 pounds during the offseason, which should increase his strength but is not expected to compromise his speed. Hyatt is also hopeful of moving around more in the offensive scheme, after lining up out wide on 86 percent of his snaps and all of his targets in 2024.
Footballguys view: Hyatt has reportedly had good chemistry with presumptive Week 1 starting quarterback Russell Wilson. His ability to get downfield behind his man and go up to win the ball was what set him apart at Tennessee, and it meshes well with Wilson's "moonball" deep shots. Hyatt is still behind Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton, and Wan'Dale Robinson for targets, but he could show physical and skill development this year to put himself back on the dynasty fantasy football radar after a quiet first two years following his selection in the third round of the 2023 draft. |

New York Giants RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. said he is hoping to rush for 1,500 yards this upcoming season.
Footballguys view: Tracy will have to hold onto the ball after fumble problems derailed an otherwise very successful rookie year that saw Tracy overtake Devin Singletary in the Giants backfield. The team drafted Cam Skattebo in the fourth round, who could be a strong alternative if Tracy has another bout of fumblitis. Skattebo has had fumble issues of his own in college, so there's a wide range of outcomes of how this backfield will shake out. The relatively low current ADP of both Tracy and Skattebo in the 8th-9th round range accurately reflects the uncertainty. |
New York Giants RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. has been working out with Philadelphia Eagles RB Saquon Barkley this offseason.
Footballguys view: Tracy and Barkley share a few things in common: playing running back, being drafted by the Giants, and having off-the-charts athleticism. Tracy's biggest struggles last year involved his hands, as he often fumbled and dropped passes. Tracy will likely get first crack at the job in camp. But with rookie Cam Skattebo now in the picture, the coaching staff likely won't have the same tolerance for those mistakes. |
New York Giants WR Malik Nabers was the primary reason that Russell Wilson decided to sign with the team this offseason.'I came here because of (Nabers). I really wanted to play with someone who is special like him,' Wilson told Empire Sports Media's Anthony Rivardo.
Footballguys view: As a rookie, Nabers led the NFL in target share. He can make contested catches, get behind defenses, and create after the catch. He's a do-it-all receiver whom the Giants will hope to build around for the next decade. Whether it's Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, or Jaxson Dart under center, it probably can't get much worse than what Nabers dealt with (and found success in) last year. |

New York Giants QB Russell Wilson is still expected to be the team's Week 1 starter but QB Jaxson Dart has shown a great deal of improvement this offseason, according to head coach Brian Daboll. In the opinion of NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, it seems to be a matter of 'when, not if' Dart will assume the starting role.
Footballguys view: After an 18-32-1 start to his head coaching career, it's understandable that Brian Daboll might be feeling some heat. After trading up to get Dart in Round 1 of the NFL Draft, any promise shown this year could buy him some extra job security. It's hard to know precisely when Dart will take the reins. But a bit of rushing upside and throwing the ball to Malik Nabers could make him an interesting late-season option for fantasy. |

New York Giants WR Darius Slayton has developed a 'quality connection' with QB Russell Wilson, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com.
Footballguys view: Slayton has 'what the heck' flex appeal for Fantasy GMs. Wilson should be the starter Week 1 for the Giants, and he may be starting the entire season if 2025 first-round pick Jaxson Dart isn't yet ready to take over. Let's see what this connection looks like in the preseason, but it sounds like Slayton could be a late-round flier in deeper drafts. |

New York Giants RB Cam Skattebo (undisclosed) missed a good amount of time this offseason because of an undisclosed injury but is not believed to be dealing with anything serious.
Footballguys view: While it's good that it's believed to be nothing serious, missing valuable offseason reps can often be a tough hurdle for rookies to clear. We'll monitor Skattebo's situation when rookies report to Giants' training camp on July 15th. |
New York Giants WR Darius Slayton was one of the standout performers during offseason workouts, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Jordan Raanan.
Footballguys view: As Newsweek noted, Slayton has been consistent for the Giants since being drafted in the fifth round in 2019. That said, shifting starting quarterbacks last season resulted in his production taking a hit. Across 16 appearances, he totaled 573 yards (his lowest since 2021) and two touchdowns (ties career-low). This year, Slayton seems excited to get to work with former Super Bowl-winning quarterback Russell Wilson. With a more reliable talent like Wilson under center, it could result in a rebound as Slayton, currently carrying a WR78 average draft position, works alongside talented youngster Malik Nabers. |

New York Giants fourth-round draft choice RB Cam Skattebo agreed to terms on a four-year contract with the Giants Wednesday, June 18, according to sources. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: Upon arrival, Skattebo was viewed as an ideal complement to Tyrone Tracy Jr., who finished his rookie campaign last year as the Giants' lead back. While he's a tough runner, NorthJersey.com's Art Stapleton contends the newcomer's value as a receiver has been overlooked throughout the pre-draft evaluation process. Stapleton further believes the more opportunities Skattebo gets this summer, the more likely he'll get an immediate role in the backfield with Tracy and veteran Devin Singletary. It's worth noting that Tracy has an early average draft position of RB31; Skattebo is already RB33. They're going in Rounds 8 and 9, respectively. |
New York Giants WR Malik Nabers (toe) is not considered to be dealing with a long-term injury, head coach Brian Daboll told reporters Tuesday, June 17. He also participated in the walkthrough with the second-team offense.
Footballguys view: As AtoZSports.com suggested, a productive rookie season in a limited offense has many wondering how high Nabers might be. But if he's going to build on that fast start, Nabers has to put this lingering issue behind him. So, while Daboll inferred that the team doctors have a plan, that Nabers didn't have a procedure this offseason, and that the wideout is expected to be ready for training camp, we'll all be watching for him to hit the field in August. Meanwhile, Nabers is still being drafted as WR5 in Round 1. |
New York Giants WR Jalin Hyatt (undisclosed) was unable to finish mandatory minicamp practice after suffering an apparent injury on Tuesday, June 17.
Footballguys view: While Hyatt left the field to get his left leg stretched out, it appears to be a minor issue. According to USA Today, the former third-round pick showed up with an additional 15-20 pounds of muscle. He also earned a ringing endorsement from new quarterback Russell Wilson, whom he had been working out privately this offseason. "I saw him do it in college. I also saw him make some big-time plays in the National Football League . . . He's made some great plays," Wilson told reporters. We'll be watching to see if that carries over to camp. |

New York Giants QB Jaxson Dart has been 'excellent' in spring practices, according to head coach Brian Daboll. Per Daboll, Dart has impressed the team with how quickly he has learned and how well he has retained information.
Footballguys view: According to Evan Barnes of Newsday, Daboll added that Dart has taken reps with the ones, twos, and threes so that the club can see how he handles the situations. Generally, Daboll has been giving Dart plenty to handle on offense, knowing that by the third time a young player hears it, he's a lot more comfortable. Of course, with Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston also on the roster, Dart should have plenty of opportunity to sit back, learn, and make steady incremental progress as a rookie in 2025. |
New York Giants PK Graham Gano appears to have a slight edge in the competition for against PK Jude McAtamney. He is under contract for the next two seasons but could be viewed as a potential salary cap casualty, since cutting him now would give the team $4.42 million of savings while leaving the Giants with $1.25 million of dead money.

New York Giants WR Malik Nabers is 'progressing' in his recovery from the toe injury that lingered throughout last season, according to head coach Brian Daboll.
Footballguys view: Good news for Giants fans and Fantasy GMs here. Nabers has dealt with this toe injury since college, and it bothered him at times last year. Now, even though bothered by this toe problem, Nabers had a line of 109-1204-7 as a rookie. Nabers is projected to get over 100 catches this year, and that makes him a top-5 fantasy receiver this season. |
New York Giants RB Devin Singletary likely will be the leading candidate for the No. 2 running back job, but RB Cam Skattebo has a chance to earn the role if he performs well during training camp and the preseason, in the opinion of SNY's Alex Smith.
Footballguys view: Singletary has the veteran experience behind Tyrone Tracy, but Skattebo is a different type of runner. The rookie from Arizona State is bulky and can live between the tackles as a power back. In addition to what he can do as a runner, Skattebo has good hands and can be relied on in pass protection. A third-down role and short-yardage role might be what Skattebo earns in training camp and the preseason. The size of that role will determine the impact it has on Tracy's fantasy value. |
New York Giants WR Jalin Hyatt has been getting more first-team reps than usual during organized team activities. Additionally, QB Russell Wilson noted that Hyatt is 'a guy that I really believe in' following practice on Thursday, June 5.
Footballguys view: Hyatt has deep speed and a good game at the catch point, but is seen as a one-dimensional receiver with a similar skillset to Darius Slayton, who the team re-signed to a three-year, $36 million deal. Hyatt isn't going to have significant value this year, but his abilities do match up well with Russell Wilson's moonballs. |

New York Giants QB Jaxson Dart worked with the second-team offense Thursday, June 5, after spending the majority of the time with the third-team previously.
Footballguys view: Dart is unlikely to start Week 1, but this is a sign that he could take over earlier than expected if the season goes south, and perhaps leapfrog Jameis Winston. Russell Wilson - who recently said the team drafting Dart "doesn't change anything at all" for him - has been getting most of the first-team reps, but he faded quickly after a hot start with the Steelers last year. |
Third-round draft choice DL Darius Alexander (Toledo) signed his four-year rookie contract worth $6.75 million - including a $1.55 million signing bonus - on Monday, June 2.

New York Giants WR Zach Pascal 'had a strong practice' Friday, May 30, catching a pair of touchdowns from QB Russell Wilson, according to John Schmeelk of Giants.com.
Footballguys view: Pascal has the physical talent to stand out, especially in offseason practices, and he's clearly developing chemistry with Wilson (who is likely the Giants starting QB to open the season). He had back-to-back seasons with 600-plus yards receiving in 2019 and 2020 with the Colts, but has less than 600 yards receiving over the last four seasons combined as he's bounced around to teams like the Eagles and the Cardinals. Pascal is veteran depth for the Giants, and he's likely competing for the no.5 spot on the depth chart. |

New York Giants first-round draft choice Jaxson Dart (Ole Miss) signed his four-year rookie contract worth $17 million on Friday, May 30.
Footballguys view: The Giants moved back into the first round to select Dart. The rookie is seen as the quarterback of the future, but he might not see the field in 2025. The Giants have Russell Wilson in line to be their starter in Week 1. If/when things fall apart with Wilson, the team could turn the reins over to Dart. He's got a strong arm and the athleticism to keep plays alive with his feet while keeping his eyes downfield. |
New York Giants OG Jon Runyan Jr. (ankle), CB Paulson Adebo (leg) and CB Anthony Johnson (shoulder) have been limited during offseason workouts because they are recovering from injuries.

New York Giants TE Theo Johnson 'looks bigger' and stood out during individual drills at OTAs Wednesday, May 28.
Footballguys view: Let's see how strong the chemistry Johnson can build with (likely) starting QB Russell Wilson. Johnson is in line to be the top tight end for the Giants, with guys like Daniel Bellinger, Chris Manhertz, Greg Dulcich, and Thomas Fidone fighting for roster spots. |
New York Giants WR Jalin Hyatt worked with the starters during OTAs Wednesday, May 28.
Footballguys view: Hyatt has talent, but the former third-round pick has not played up to his potential in two pro seasons. Last year, Hyatt had only eight catches for 62 yards. This year, Hyatt is trying to make the right impression and getting first-team work in practice. |
Jalin Hyatt player page
New York Giants OT Andrew Thomas (foot) is coming off a foot injury from the 2024 season, so head coach Brian Daboll said the team is being smart with his practice participation this offseason.
Link to storyNew York Giants QB Russell Wilson received most of the work with the first-team offense during practice Wednesday, May 28.
Footballguys view: While Wilson took most of the first-team snaps, rookie Jaxson Dart and Jameis Winston also snuck in a few. Tommy DeVito fit in for four third-team reps throughout the practice. "They'll all get reps," coach Brian Daboll said of the plan for the QBs this spring. But make no mistake: Wilson is expected to begin the season as New York's starter after signing a one-year deal with the franchise in March. Even at that, holding on to the job will likely depend on overall team success. Because of that, Wilson opens as QB30 on the Footballguys 2025 Projections. |

New York Giants DT Dexter Lawrence (elbow) is making good progress from his recovery from a dislocated elbow, according to head coach Brian Daboll.

New York Giants WR Malik Nabers (toe) is still rehabbing a toe injury from last season, which has bothered him since college, and he won't do much this spring. Head coach Brian Daboll said Nabers didn't have a procedure, and they're just being cautious.
Footballguys view: Don't let the toe scare you off. Despite missing two games and playing with four different quarterbacks (Daniel Jones, Tommy DeVito, Drew Lock, and Tim Boyle), Nabers finished his first season as a pro with 109 total catches -- a rookie wide receiver record. Nabers' 273.6 fantasy points ranked sixth at the position in 2024 and ranked eighth all-time for rookies. He finished as WR6 with 18.1 points per game. He has WR1 upside any given week. That won't change this year, whether it's Russell Wilson, the pass-happy Jameis Winston, or rookie Jaxson Dart as his QB. |
New York Giants WR Jalin Hyatt 'mentally checked out at points last season after clashing with the coaching staff and upper management,' according to SNY.tv's Connor Hughes.
Footballguys view: Hughes notes that Russell Wilson is still very good at attacking the backend of a defense. His high-arching passes, married with Hyatt's elite-level deep speed, are a fit. If Hyatt shows up with a re-commitment to the playbook, practice, and games and improves his route running, he should be more productive with Wilson than with Daniel Jones, Drew Lock, and Tommy DeVito. This speculation doesn't move Hyatt onto our draft radar, but it's a situation to watch as we get into the season. |
Jalin Hyatt player page
New York Giants first-round draft choice QB Jaxson Dart seems unlikely to make his first start until at least Week 10, according to SNY.tv's Connor Hughes.
Footballguys view: According to Hughes, the Giants genuinely believe Russell Wilson can play well, elevate those around him, and make the Giants a competent club this year. Still, uncertainty with head coach Brain Daboll and his job status clouds this. The play of Wilson and Jameis Winston won't bring him back in 2026. What will: His hand-picked quarterback showing signs he can be a franchise signal-caller. Hughes can see Daboll going to Dart even earlier than Week 10 if he feels his job is on the line. The good news? Fantasy managers don't have to join him in this. |

Link to storyNew York Giants QB Jaxson Dart will likely sit the entire 2025 season 'if all goes well,' according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com.
Footballguys view: The Giants have an interesting quarterback situation, and they have a head coach (Brian Daboll) and general manager (Joe Schoen) who are likely on the hot seat. The team moved back into the first round to select Dart, and he's clearly seen as the quarterback of the future - we just don't know if the coach and the GM will be around for that future. The Giants could roll with Russell Wilson as the starter with Jameis Winston as the primary backup. |
Free agent wide receiver Gabe Davis visited the 49ers on Monday. Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports that Davis is now on his way to see the Giants.
Footballguys view: Giants head coach Brian Daboll was the offensive coordinator in Buffalo in Davis' first two seasons. Davis spent his first four seasons with the Bills after they made him a fourth-round pick in 2020. The Jaguars signed him in free agency a year ago, but Davis caught only 20 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games in 2024 before tearing the meniscus in his left knee. The Jaguars recently released Davis with a failed physical designation. |

Link to storyNew York Giants seventh-round draft choice TE Thomas Fidone II signed a four-year contract with the Giants Friday, May 9, worth $4.349 million.
Footballguys view: Fidone is an interesting prospect who plays like a super-sized wide receiver. He's got the physical tools to be a threat down the seam, but he never really played up to his potential in college at Nebraska. |
New York Giants fifth-round draft choice OG Marcus Mbow signed a four-year contract with the Giants Friday, May 9, worth $4.617 million.

Link to storyFree-agent WR Gabe Davis (Jaguars) could receive some interest from the New York Giants since he is familiar with head coach Brian Daboll's offensive scheme, in the opinion of GiantsWire's John Fennelly.
Footballguys view: Davis spent time working with Daboll when they were with the Buffalo Bills. The Giants may be looking for a veteran to add to the room with young players like Malik Nabers and WanDale Robinson at the top of the depth chart. If added, Davis would compete with guys like Darius Slayton, Lil Jordan Humphrey, and Jalin Hyatt. |

New York Giants RB Cam Skattebo is expected to be used as a receiver out of the backfield this upcoming season because the team likes how he tracks the ball.
Footballguys view: Skattebo was our highest-ranked running back heading into Day 3 of the Draft. He was the pre-draft RB6 on the Footballguys Rookie Draft Guide 2.0 Running Back Rankings. He also landed on the team with his best opportunity for playing time. The Giants had Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Devin Singletary as their two running backs last season. According to Pro Football Focus, the Giants earned the fourth-fewest rushing yards from their running backs at 1,307 and the third-fewest first downs at 64. One of the Giants' problems has been their offensive line. Skattebo was one of the best running backs on non-perfectly blocked runs at ASU last year and one of the best at converting first downs. If the Giants trust him to handle more than between-the-tackles work, there is a chance Skattebo becomes the Giants' lead running back sooner rather than later. |
Undrafted free-agent WR Nate McCollum (North Carolina) signed with the New York Giants on Saturday, April 26.
Link to storyNew York Giants DE Abdul Carter also received a prank phone call during the 2025 NFL Draft around the time the Jacksonville Jaguars traded up to the No. 2 pick. The caller said the Jaguars were taking him, but Carter knew it was fraudulent, according to his agent Drew Rosenhaus.
Footballguys view: That makes about four players who were pranked during the draft. The Shedeur Sanders prank call got the most attention, but Carter and others had to go through the same thing. We'll see if the NFL cracks down on these other callers just like they did on the Sanders prankster. |
