Atlanta Falcons WR Jamal Agnew (groin), S Jordan Fuller (knee) and WR Casey Washington (concussion) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings. OL Jack Nelson (calf) was a limited participant on Friday, Sept. 12, but has also been ruled out. DE James Pearce Jr. (groin) and S DeMarcco Hellams (hamstring) were limited participants on Friday and are listed as questionable. DB Billy Bowman Jr. (shoulder) was a full participant and is listed as questionable. DE Leonard Floyd (rest) and DL David Onyemata (rest) did not practice on Friday but no longer appear on the injury report. OT Jake Matthews (rest) was a limited participant but is expected to play. WRs Darnell Mooney (shoulder) and WR Drake London (shoulder) were full participants and have also been removed from the injury report.
Footballguys view: Mooney and London being off of the injury report is all the clearance you need to start them where you normally would. The Vikings are not an easy defense to pass against, but Michael Penix Jr. should have more success than Caleb Williams did in Week 1. |

Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. opened the coaches' eyes to things they didn't know he possessed, according to head coach Raheem Morris. One of them was his ability to process defensive looks and find the right receiver.

Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London (shoulder) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 10.
Footballguys view: Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said he expected London to play in Week 2 against the Vikings. He's limited on Wednesday, but we have to circle back to see what his status is on Friday. It's early, but it seems like London is going to be out there. With the injury concern, London should be considered a WR2/flex option in Week 2. |
Atlanta Falcons WR Darnell Mooney (shoulder) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 10.
Footballguys view: Mooney was limited all last week and didn't play in Week 1. Let's see what his status is later in the week. Getting Mooney out there would give another downfield target for QB Michael Penix. |

Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said on Monday that the team would look for a kicker to compete with Younghoe Koo, and they have found that kicker. Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the team will sign Parker Romo to their practice squad after a Tuesday morning workout.
Footballguys view: Romo was 11-of-12 on field goals and 7-of-8 on extra points in four games with the Vikings last year. He spent time with the Patriots this offseason. Koo is in his seventh season in Atlanta, and he was a reliable kicker for the first five of those years. He missed nine of his 34 field goal attempts last season, however, and Sunday's miss came after he caromed another kick off the upright before it went through. The team will presumably use the practice week to determine whether Koo or Romo does the kicking against the Vikings on Sunday night. |
Atlanta Falcons RB Carlos Washington Jr. and WR David Sills reverted back to the practice Monday, Sept. 8, after being on the active roster for Week 1.

Atlanta Falcons WR KhaDarel Hodge had no receptions with one target in Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Atlanta Falcons WR Casey Washington ended up with three catches for 33 yards and six targets in Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Link to storyAtlanta Falcons WR Ray-Ray McCloud posted three catches for 51 yards on five targets in Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Link to storyFalcons WR Drake London suffered a shoulder sprain and is considered day-to-day as of now, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Footballguys view: London will have more tests, but it's positive news on Atlanta's star, who was ruled out during Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers. As previously noted, London finished with eight catches and 55 yards, but drew a whopping 15 targets from Michael Penix Jr. We'll be watching his progress closely as the Falcons prepare to take on the Vikings in Week 2. Remember, the Falcons were without Darnell Mooney, who could return next week after missing the opener with the shoulder injury he suffered last month. Fellow receiver Jamal Agnew left today's game with a groin injury. |
Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts posted seven catches for 59 yards on eight targets in Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Atlanta Falcons RB Bijan Robinson rushed 12 times for 24 yards in Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he added six receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown on seven targets.

Atlanta Falcons RB Tyler Allgeier posted 10 rushing attempts for 24 yards in Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he wasn't targeted in the passing game.
Link to storyAtlanta Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. completed 27-of-42 passes for 298 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while adding six runs for 21 yards and a score.
Footballguys view: Penix had a strong fantasy day as the Falcons running game was stone-walled by the Bucs - who usually have a very strong run defense. Expect more balance against the Vikings next week. Penix added value with his legs and should be added where bench size allows, but Drake London (shoulder) is no sure thing for a tough Week 2 matchup against the Vikings. |
Atlanta Falcons CB A.J. Terrell and S Xavier Watts each posted six solo tackles and two passes defensed apiece in Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London (shoulder) suffered a shoulder injury during the Week 1 game. Head coach Raheem Morris did not have an update on London's status after the game.
Footballguys view: London got 15 targets, but only turned them into a 8-55 stat line. While that's acceptable in PPR leagues, it is still disappointing, as London and Penix failed on multiple end zone targets. His Week 2 status (and beyond) is unknown and Darnell Mooney also missed Week 1, so the Falcons passing game could be down their top two wideouts in Week 2 against the Vikings, stay tuned. |
Atlanta Falcons WR Jamal Agnew (groin) suffered a groin injury in Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he is considered questionable to return.

DE Leonard Floyd (rest) and DT David Onyemata (rest) did not practice Friday, Sept. 5, and no longer appear on the injury report. CB Clark Phillips III (rib) was a full participant on Friday and OT Jake Matthews (rest) was a limited participant, but both have also been removed from the injury report. CB A.J. Atlanta Falcons WR Darnell Mooney (shoulder) is questionable for Sunday's opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, per coach Raheem Morris.
Footballguys view: It sounds like Mooney's shoulder issue is still affecting him, which makes him a riskier play. If he goes up and lands on the shoulder wrong or takes a hit on the shoulder, that could be the end of his afternoon - if he is even active. Expect Ray-Ray McCloud to play a larger role in the passing game on Sunday either way. |

Atlanta Falcons WR Darnell Mooney (shoulder) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 4.
Footballguys view: Mooney's speed makes him a candidate for deep flex play, but this shoulder injury is a bit of a concern. Let's see what he can do on Friday in practice. If you need your lineup set ASAP, try a different deep flex option. |

Atlanta Falcons WR Darnell Mooney (shoulder) participated in the team's walkthrough Monday, Sept. 1, and head coach Raheem Morris said the team feels good about here he is with his health.
Footballguys view: After injuring his shoulder at the team's first training camp practice on July 24, Mooney finally returned to the practice field last week. As USA Today suggested, some feared Mooney would be placed on the injured reserve list to begin the year, but he appears on track to start against the Buccaneers this Sunday. Last season, Mooney nearly recorded the second 1,000-yard campaign of his NFL career but missed the season finale and finished with 992 yards. The former Bears receiver should be heavily featured on offense yet again in 2025. We'll monitor his progress closely in coming days. |

Atlanta Falcons LB Jalon Walker (ankle) is doing good in his recovery from injury, according to head coach Raheem Morris.
Footballguys view: The Falcons used the 15th overall pick to land Walker, who most expected to go in the top 10 of the draft. He missed about half of the summer practices with groin and hamstring injuries, but the team said they have a plan for him in Week 1 and he will be ready to play. Walker's snap count against Tampa (who will be missing left tackle Tristan Wirfs) will be determined by head coach Raheem Morris "waves" approach, which sounds a lot like a hot hand backfield. |
Atlanta Falcons OT Elijah Wilkinson is the likely starter at right tackle for the season opener. 'I'm comfortable with him, I really am,' offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford said.
Link to storyAtlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts could be a trade candidate if the Falcons struggle ahead of the trade deadline, according to Jeff Howe of The Athletic.
Footballguys view: Pitts has a ton of physical talent, but things have failed to come together for the former top-10 pick outside of his 1,000-yard season as a rookie. We'll see what kind of connection the veteran tight end can build with second-year quarterback Michael Penix. Fantasy GMs who still trust Pitts can look at him in his normal low-end TE1 spot with upside. |

Mooney took part in position drills but did not run routes when the receivers worked with the quarterbacks.
Footballguys view: Mooney hasn't practiced in over a month. We'll see if he can be ready for more work next week as the Falcons prepare for Week 1. |
