Jacksonville Jaguars RB James Robinson ranked sixth among running backs with 641 snaps played in 2020 despite missing the final two games with an ankle injury.
Footballguys view: Robinson was a find for the Jaguars. He was undrafted coming out of Illinois State in 2020 and rushed for over 1,000 yards. Robinson should be a centerpiece of what the Jaguars do on offense in 2021, and he'll benefit from no.1 pick Trevor Lawrence (Clemson) ...the expected pick at the top of the 2021 NFL draft. |

Baltimore Ravens defensive line coach Joe Cullen is expected to be hired as the Jacksonville Jaguars' defensive coordinator, according to reports Thursday, Jan. 21.

Jacksonville Jaguars interim general manager Trent Baalke was officially named GM Thursday, Jan. 21.
Footballguys view: Baalke gets another shot as general manager after things fell apart for him when he ran the 49ers. He will work closely with new head coach Urban Meyer, and has the NFL experience that Meyer does not. Meyer should have a lot of sway in the room in terms of personnel decisions. Baalke gets $100 million in cap space and the no.1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft. That's a pretty sweet start to his new gig. |

Former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer was officially named as the new head coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday, Jan. 14. Terms of the contract were not immediately disclosed.
Footballguys view: Jaguars owner Shad Khan has been targeting Meyer for some time. He'll take over a team with the no.1 overall pick and $100 million in cap space. That makes the Jaguars a team who could get into playoff contention quickly, especially with a coach like Meyer running the show. |

Former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer is closing in on a contract to be the next head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars Thursday, Jan. 14.

Jacksonville Jaguars QBs Gardner Minshew and Jake Luton could enter training camp in a competition for the backup role, with Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence the presumptive No. 1 pick of the 2021 NFL Draft and expected 2021 starter, according to John Reid of the Florida Times-Union Wednesday, Jan. 13. Reid says the Jaguars could also opt to sign a veteran backup from outside of the organization.
Footballguys view: The Jaguars are going to take Trevor Lawrence (Clemson) with the no.1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft. That means Minshew is going to be a backup. However, with the way that Luton played in 2020 he'll get a shot to compete for the no.2 job behind Lawrence. |

Former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer is reportedly 'close to taking the (head coaching) job,' according to sources. Furthermore, the expectation is interim general manager Trent Baalke will be retained should Meyer accept the job.
Footballguys view: Meyer is reportedly enamored with Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence. Well, him and everyone else is excited about seeing Lawrence in the NFL. Lawrence will be the no.1 overall pick to the Jaguars, and they've got $100 million in cap space to work with in free agency. Meyer is getting interest from the Chargers as well. |

The Jacksonville Jaguars have 'strong interest' in former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer for their head coaching vacancy, and the interest is believed to be mutual, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Footballguys view: It's going to take a lot of money to get Urban as their head coach. While no deal is imminent, Fowler reports that the belief among other candidates is that the situation with Meyer will need to be resolved before they seriously consider offering the job to someone else. |

Former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer will interview with the Jacksonville Jaguars about its head coaching vacancy Friday, Jan. 8.
Footballguys view: Meyer seems to be the top name the Jaguars are considering. The buzz is that he wants a league-leading $12 million annually to coach the team. The Jaguars have an interview lined up with 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh on Saturday. His price tag will be quite a bit less. Updating a previous report, former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer appears to be interested in becoming the next head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, but a league source reported Monday, Jan. 4, that Meyer will reportedly seek $12 million per year if he does so.

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone was fired Monday, Jan. 4.
Footballguys view: Zero surprise here. Marrone failed to find a quarterback and the team didn't have much success with him outside of a run to the AFC Championship (with Blake Bortles at quarterback) in 2017. The Jaguars are reportedly interested in Urban Meyer as their next head coach. They have the no.1 overall pick and $100 million in cap space to help turn things around in 2021 and beyond. |

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Mike Glennon will start in Week 17 against the Indianapolis Colts.
Footballguys view: No quarterback competition this week. Glennon finishes out the season as the starter and Gardner Minshew ends the season on the bench. The Jaguars will have a potential superstar in 2021 no.1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence (Clemson) next season. |

Jacksonville Jaguars RB James Robinson (ankle) won't play in the season finale in Week 17.
Footballguys view: Robinson was a great waiver wire pickup for Fantasy GMs back in Week 2. He played a great season, finishing the year with 1070 rushing yards, seven rushing touchdowns, 49 catches for 344 yards and three receiving touchdowns. Robinson should get an upgrade in quarterback next year with no.1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence (Clemson) and he's looking at being an early first-round pick in most any league in 2021. |
