LB Alex Highsmith (ankle) was limited during practice but is not on the injury report. LB Nick Herbig (hamstring), OT Calvin Anderson (illness), LB T.J. Watt (non-injury) and DE Cameron Heyward (non-injury) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

Austin scored on a terrific play design from Arthur Smith than Rodgers executed perfectly. He's worth a pickup, but has a tough draw against the Seahawks secondary next week. |

| Footballguys view: Johnson, who has been working behind Gainwell all offseason long, had a relatively quiet August, with the highlight being his preseason Week 2 performance against the Buccaneers, when he tallied 11 carries for 50 yards. The Steelers hope Johnson eventually takes on the Najee Harris role and works in tandem with Warren, who isn't going anywhere after inking a two-year contract extension on Monday. In fact, head coach Mike Tomlin, asked about Warren on Tuesday, told reporters: "Certainly he'll be our featured runner. | Footballguys view: While Tomlin acknowledged we'll see Kenneth Gainwell and Kaleb Johnson, currently listed as RB2 and RB3, respectively on the team's depth chart, the coach added, "At what time and at what degree [will depend week-to-week]." That being the case, it's worth noting that hampered by injuries, Warren finished as RB45 last year. But he was RB20 (in a timeshare with Najee Harris) in 2023. An RB2 finish would be ahead of the RB3 price we've been paying for Warren in recent days. |

Warren gets $5.05 million in 2026 and $5.15 million in 2027 for a total of $17.25 million over three years, a source told Fowler. With Najee Harris allowed to move on as a free agent this offseason, Warren is left to lead a position group that also includes rookie third-round pick Kaleb Johnson and former Eagles running back Kenneth Gainwell. |

| Footballguys view: Warren joined the Steelers after going undrafted in 2022, and he's played 48 regular-season games for the team. Warren has 346 carries for 1,674 yards and six touchdowns to go with 127 catches for 894 yards. As Profootballtalk.com notes, Najee Harris was the lead back in Pittsburgh over Warren's first three seasons, but Warren is on top of the depth chart this year. If things go well, he's on track to stay there in 2026 and 2027 as well, although rookie Kaleb Johnson hopes to have some say in that at some point. |
