Miami Dolphins TE Mike Gesicki could be a candidate to be traded if the Dolphins decide to select Florida TE Kyle Pitts in the 2021 NFL Draft, in the opinion of The Miami Herald's Barry Jackson.
Footballguys view: The Pitts to the Dolphins rumblings just started this weekend. It doesn't mean it's not true, it's just interesting to note the timing. Pitts could be off the board at no.4 overall to the Falcons, so if the Dolphins really want him then they'd have to move up. If they did add Pitts then Gesicki would be a player they could get rid of, perhaps for a premium pick. |

Miami Dolphins RB Myles Gaskin likely will be the starting running back or No. 2 running back in 2021 depending on if the team selects a running back early in the draft.
Footballguys view: The Dolphins should be in the market for an upgrade at the position. There are several running backs in the early rounds (Day 1, Day 2) that could be added and take over the position. Gaskin is a good reserve back who can work as a runner or receiver out of the backfield. He's a flex-value play for Fantasy GMs in PPR formats. |

Former University of Florida TE and 2021 NFL Draft prospect Kyle Pitts is a prime target for the Miami Dolphins with the sixth-overall selection in the first round, according to Pro Football Focus.
Footballguys view: Is Pitts even going to be on the board? The Falcons at no.4 overall seem to have their eye on the super-sized wide receiver who plays tight end. Pitts is a fine talent and could have an impact immediately in the NFL. |

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker could be a possible trade option this offseason if the team receives the right offer and if they select a receiver with the sixth overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, in the opinion of NBC Sports' Peter King.
Footballguys view: It's interesting to think of who could be on the trade block, but the Dolphins should be about adding talent to the WR position not subtracting it. They are likely to select a wide receiver in the top-10 of the 2021 NFL draft. |

Free-agent WR Mack Hollins (Dolphins) signed a one-year contract to remain with the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday, March 23. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.
Footballguys view: Hollins has some talent as a pass-catcher but he's mostly a special teams player. He'll work his way onto the roster as a deep reserve at the wide receiver position. |

Free-agent DT Lawrence Guy (Patriots) is scheduled to meet with the Miami Dolphins.

Free-agent WR Kai Locksley was signed by the Miami Dolphins Sunday, March 21. Locksley is converting to wide receiver after playing quarterback at Texas-El Paso.
Footballguys view: Locksley has a good size/speed combination. Measuring in at 6'4" Locksley has a 38" vertical jump and can make defenders miss in the open field. He's a long-shot to make the NFL as a he converts to wide receiver, but this former four-star quarterback is exactly the type of player we love to keep an eye on in crazy deep dynasty formats. |

The Miami Dolphins released OT Isaiah Wilson Saturday, March 20, according to a league source. He showed up late for both his physical and team orientation and skipped two optional workouts he had promised to attend, continuing a pattern of erratic behavior which had caused the Tennessee Titans to trade him to the Dolphins Wednesday, March 17.

Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins WR Will Fuller received a fully guaranteed one-year, $10.625 million deal with $3 million in incentives.
Footballguys view: Fuller has speed, speed and more speed. He'll take the top off the defense and provide a big-play weapon for QB Tua Tagovailoa. |

Free-agent WR Will Fuller (Texans) agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins Thursday, March 18, according to a source. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: Fuller adds downfield speed to a wide receiver group that has an excellent outside 50-50 ball winner in Devante Parker and should add another impact receiver in the draft. It's not a great spot for his fantasy value, but should help the Miami offense if he can stay on the field. A tepid wide receiver made a one-year deal the best choice for Fuller in hopes that it will be more friendly next year if he has a strong 2021. |

Free agent C Matt Skura (Ravens) on Thursday, March 18, agreed to a one-year deal to sign with the Miami Dolphins, according to his agent.
Footballguys view: Skura had problems snapping in shotgun last year and lost his job, but the Dolphins are taking a chance on him to fill their opening at center. This means they are out on David Andrews, who is the top free agent center on the market after the Patriots decided to let him walk. |

Free-agent LB Kyle Van Noy (Dolphins) agreed to terms with the New England Patriots Wednesday, March 17, according to a source.
Footballguys view: The Patriots will still get a comp fourth-round pick for the big contract Miami signed Van Noy to last year. Van Noy's deal is much smaller than the one Miami gave him, but he should still play a central role in the Patriots defense. |

Free-agent WR Robert Foster (Washington) signed an undisclosed contract with the Miami Dolphins Wednesday, March 17.
Footballguys view: Foster has flashed a bit here and there during his pro career, but that was back in 2018. We'll continue to monitor him but only in super deep dynasty formats. |

Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent QB Jacoby Brissett plans to sign a one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins, according to a source. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: Brissett is going to work as a backup to Tua Tagovailoa. With Ryan Fitzpatrick (WFT) moving on in free agency, the Dolphins needed a veteran backup for their second-year starter. |

Impending free-agent WR Kenny Golladay (Lions) is reportedly one of the free-agent receivers the Miami Dolphins 'in' on, according to ESPN's Cameron Wolfe.
Footballguys view: Golladay was connected to the Dolphins and the Jets before the start of free agency. We'll see if some team can work a deal out with the star receiver as he's arguably the best one on the market this offseason. |

Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent RB James Conner may receive interest from the Miami Dolphins during free agency.
Footballguys view: Conner probably won't be signed as a starter, but he can be a strong contributor to a committee and top-flight backup running back. The Dolphins will still make a bigger splash at running back this offseason, whether through the draft or signing someone like Aaron Jones. |

Miami Dolphins QB and pending free agent Ryan Fitzpatrick's future remains up in the air, but he's still a favorite of Dolphins head coach Brian Flores. 'We'd love to have him back, but this is a very unique year from the cap standpoint,' Flores said. 'Those conversations are fluid.'
Footballguys view: Fitzpatrick has thought about retirement but the latest is that he's looking to play in 2021. That means another team besides the Dolphins is likely to sign him as a 'bridge' quarterback. The Broncos have already reached out to Fitzpatrick to gauge his interest. |
Ryan Fitzpatrick player page

Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa had an up-and-down rookie season in 2020, but head coach Brian Flores said recently he's excited for Year 2 and downplayed speculation that the Dolphins could be eyeing another young QB in the draft. 'My reaction is I'm excited to work with Tua,' Flores said. '... That's where my interests are, that's where my excitement is. Again like I said, he's a talented player. We, here, believe in developing players at all positions and I think with an offseason, with OTAs, with more reps, more repetitions, like any player, I think they develop and get better.'
Footballguys view: Tagovailoa had a normal rookie season because it was full of ups and downs. That's not out of the ordinary in the NFL, but it wasn't an outlier like what we saw from guys like Justin Herbert. It doesn't mean Tagovailoa is a bust, it just means that he's got more to learn. The upside to be a franchise quarterback is still there and it's on the Dolphins staff to get that out of him. |

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent QB Ryan Fitzpatrick plans to play next season.
Footballguys view: This goes against an earlier report from John Clayton saying Fitzpatrick was leaning towards retirement. It certainly looked like Fitzpatrick had more to offer last season. Some team in need of veteran depth (Broncos?) could add him to the roster. |
Ryan Fitzpatrick player page

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent LB Kamu Grugier-Hill is expected to look for a more consistent role this offseason and is unlikely to re-sign with the Dolphins.

Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent QB Jacoby Brissett, Los Angeles Chargers impending free-agent QB Tyrod Taylor and free-agent QB Robert Griffin III (Ravens) could be possible backup quarterback options for the Miami Dolphins this offseason, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Cameron Wolfe.
Footballguys view: If the Dolphins keep Tua Tagovailoa as their starter (there is chatter they could move him to the Texans in part of a deal for Deshaun Watson), then they'll need a veteran backup. Any of these quarterbacks fit the bill, but perhaps Taylor would be the best suited to help guide a young passer like Tagovailoa. Stay tuned. |

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent QB Ryan Fitzpatrick appears to be leaning retirement, according to 104.3 The Fan's John Clayton.
Footballguys view: The Broncos have contacted Fitzpatrick as they are looking for veteran competition for Drew Lock in training camp. According to Clayton, Fitzpatrick is leaning towards hanging up his cleats. Things could change, but at this time it seems like Denver (and other teams in need of veteran quarterback help) will have to look elsewhere. |

Miami Dolphins WR Preston Williams (foot) would likely slide to the No. 3 receiver role if the Dolphins add Alabama WR DeVonta Smith or Louisiana State WR Ja'Marr Chase in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, according to Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com.
Footballguys view: Williams has talent and could be a fine no.2 receiver in this league. He just battles injuries too much as the last two seasons have been shortened due to him getting banged up. As a no.3 receiver, Williams would be quite impactful...so long as he stays healthy. |
