Miami Dolphins OT Austin Jackson (toe) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Sept. 13.
Link to storyThe Miami Dolphins have not received any phone calls from other NFL teams expressing interest in trading for WR Tyreek Hill and they have no plans to move him, according to multiple sources.
Footballguys view: Not receiving any calls about Hill seems odd. He's clearly frustrated, and the Dolphins look like they're a game away from being a dumpster fire for the 2025 season. It's bad right now for the Dolphins, and that makes Hill an obvious trade candidate. Complicating things are Hill's recent domestic violence allegations. The NFL trade deadline is November 5th. |

Miami Dolphins RB Jaylen Wright (leg) is doubtful to play in Week 2, according to head coach Mike McDaniel.
Link to storyMiami Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle (shoulder) is expected to play in Week 2.
Footballguys view: The Dolphins offense will attempt to get out of the driveway this week against the Patriots. With Tyreek Hill generating off-field turmoil again amidst continuing trade rumors, perhaps Mike McDaniel will emphasize Waddle against a defense that just gave up 362 passing yards to Geno Smith and the Raiders. |

Miami Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle (shoulder) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 10.
Footballguys view: Waddle was banged up against the Colts in Week 1, so it's not a big surprise to see him limited as practice opens on Wednesday. The Dolphins are a bit of a mess right now, so against the Patriots in Week 2 we'll keep Waddle in the WR3/flex range from a fantasy perspective. |

Miami Dolphins RB Jaylen Wright (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 10.
Link to storyMiami Dolphins TE Darren Waller (hip) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 10.
Footballguys view: Waller is off fantasy radars until he can get out there in a game. Even when he's available, the veteran tight end coming out of retirement may not be more than a deep TE2 for Fantasy GMs. |

Miami Dolphins OT Larry Borom is expected to start right tackle in Week 2 if OT Austin Jackson (toe) is not available, according to head coach Mike McDaniel.

Miami Dolphins TE Darren Waller (hip) will try to be ready for the Week 2 game, but his availability is uncertain at this point, according to head coach Mike McDaniel.
Footballguys view: McDaniel didn't exhibit a sense of urgency in getting Waller back. "He's trying to play as best he can in this next one. If he can't, we'll try to play him (Week 3, a Thursday Night Football game at Buffalo)." With Waller out, Julian Hill and Tanner Conner were the only two tight ends active against the Colts after the team did not make further moves to elevate additional players. |

Miami Dolphins TE Tanner Conner and WR Malik Washington each posted two receptions for 20 yards apiece in Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts. Conner had four targets, while Washington had five targets, while also running once for nine yards.
Link to storyMiami Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle registered three receptions for 30 yards on five targets in Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts.
Footballguys view: In addition to being sidelined briefly by a shoulder injury (he returned to finish the game), Waddle was a victim of a team-wide Dolphins performance that had the stink of a team that needs to be blown up. He's worth holding because his value could get a boost if Tyreek Hill is dealt at some point, but Waddle, isn't trustworthy in Week 2 lineups. |

Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill posted four receptions for 40 yards on six targets in Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts.
Footballguys view: Hill was also visibly frustrated on the sidelines. If he has another result like this next week, it might be time to bench him in fantasy leagues. Put together offseason trade rumors, the state of the Chiefs passing game, and the state of the Dolphins, and Hill should be traded to Kansas City any day now. |

Miami Dolphins RB Ollie Gordon II rushed twice for four yards in his NFL debut in Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts, while adding a catch for minus-1 yard on his only target.
Footballguys view: Gordon had a small role and didn't show much in it. The Dolphins aren't going to have much punch behind De'Von Achane in the running game until Jaylen Wright is back from leg surgery, and maybe not even then. Gordon can be dropped. |
Miami Dolphins RB De'Von Achane ran seven times for 55 yards in Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts, and he added three receptions for 20 yards and a touchdown on four targets.
Footballguys view: Achane got the garbage time score and showed no effects from a multiweek preseason absence because of a calf injury. The Dolphins defense was bad, and their offense was even worse. Both are going to limit Achane's opportunity this year, but he is still an everyweek fantasy starter with big play upside. But you certainly would not have drafted him as high if you had seen this game in his future. |
Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa completed 14-of-23 passes for 114 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts. He was pulled in the fourth quarter with the game out of hand, as backup QB Zach Wilson finishes up.
Footballguys view: The Dolphins offense was worse than even the lowest expectations. They only scored in garbage time, and alternated turnovers and drives that had little chance of success before that. The Colts defense might be underrated, but this should not considered an indication that they are more responsible for this outcome than a Dolphins team that could be on the verge of implosion. There's no reason to carry Tagovailoa in one quarterback leagues. He'll face the Patriots next week. |

Miami Dolphins practice squad RB Jeff Wilson Jr. was elevated to the active roster Saturday, Sept. 6, and will be available for the Week 1 game.
Footballguys view: With Jaylen Wright banged up, the Dolphins needed to make a move. Wilson is a seasoned veteran who can work on all three downs. DeVon Achane is the lead back for Miami with rookie Ollie Gordon (who we love in dynasty) as the primary backup. Wilson will serve as the no.3 back. |

Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (calf, oblique) and RB De'Von Achane fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 1.
Footballguys view: After starting the week getting in limited practices, this is a good sign that Hill and Achane's status was more precautionary than a sign that they might not be fully ready to play on with their training camp injuries. The team shouldn't alter Achane's workload if their injury report is accurate. |

Miami Dolphins TE Darren Waller (hip) is doubtful for Week 1, with a hip injury.
Footballguys view: Waller never seemed ready to play at any point this summer after his surprise un-retirement to play for the Dolphins after they traded Jonnu Smith to the Steelers. The Dolphins are going to have Julian Hill, Tanner Conner, and probably Greg Dulcich up from the practice squad at tight end against the Colts. You can drop Waller if you drafted him. |

Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (calf, oblique) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 4.
Footballguys view: It's another limited day and two injuries to monitor with Hill. Let's circle back to see what he can do on Friday, but know that he's more of a WR2/flex option in Week 1. |

Miami Dolphins RB De'Von Achane (calf) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 4.
Footballguys view: Achane is an RB1 when healthy, and he's likely to be good to go against the Colts in Week 1. A full practice on Friday would make us feel better. |
